  2. 2AudioRinse removes the noise, then shapes the voice: rumble cut, clarity boost, gentle compression.
  3. 3It sets the loudness to the podcast standard (−16 LUFS), so it sounds right next to other shows.

Questions

Is my recording uploaded anywhere?

No. AudioRinse runs the cleaning model inside your browser, on your own computer. Your file never leaves your device, so there's no upload to wait for and nothing stored on a server.

What does the enhancer actually do?

Four steps: removes background noise, cuts low rumble and boxy 'mud', adds a little presence so speech is clearer, then evens out and normalises the loudness to −16 LUFS with a −1 dB peak ceiling, the level Apple Podcasts and Spotify expect.

How is it different from Remove Background Noise?

That tool only removes noise and leaves the voice as recorded. The enhancer also fixes tone and loudness, which is what you want for a podcast or a video voice-over.

Is it free?

Cleaning and listening are free and unlimited. You get 3 free downloads a month for audio files up to 10 minutes (1 without an account). Pro adds unlimited downloads, files up to 1 hour and video.
